In order to access some areas of the archive in BBSPrints you'll need a user registration. No charge is made for registering with us.

To join up

To create a registration, please send a mail to newuser@bbsonline.org with the following subject line:

newuser

Once you've sent that mail, you'll be mailed back a username and password that you can use to access the relevant areas of this archive.

Please note that BBSPrints has already created a very sizable database of users from the old static email database kept in the old Southampton editorial office. As such, if you have ever had email contact with BBS, it is extremely likely that your User Record already exists in the system. However you will still need to send the newuser email in order for the system to actually send you your BBSPrints username and password.

If you change your email address

If you already have a registration, and you wish to inform the archive of a change of your email address, send a mail to newuser@bbsonline.org with the subject "change email". Send this email from your new email account. The body of your email should contain the following lines:

USERNAME <your user name>
PASSWORD <your password>

The e-mail address associated with your account will be changed to the address you sent the mail from. Changes of address are handled this way so that we can be sure that we have a valid e-mail address for you. You will be sent a mail informing you of any changes successfully made.

If you've forgotten your username or password

The archive can remind you if you've forgotten your username and/or password. Just click here and type in your e-mail address (the one associated with your account.)
